アークシステムワークスは、2023年3月12日（日本時間）に「ARC WORLD TOUR 2022」の決勝大会を開催します。決勝大会に参加するファイナリストをインタビュー形式でご紹介いたします。
今回はDNF Duel部門のYG/kubo選手を紹介！
Arc System Works will host the finals of the “ARC WORLD TOUR 2022” to be held on March 11, 2023 (PST). The finalists who will participate in the finals are introduced in the form of interviews.
This time we introduce kubo, a player in the DNF Duel !
Q1.簡単に自己紹介をお願いします。
愛知県名古屋市の格ゲープレイヤーkuboです。 よしもとゲーミング・ファイティングアクション部門所属のプロゲーマーです。 DNFDuelでの使用キャラはグラップラー。
Q2.格闘ゲームのプレイ歴を教えてください。
25年ほど 最初は3D格闘ゲームである鉄拳３からでした。
Q3.ARC WORLD TOUR 2022の予選大会を振り返って感想を聞かせて下さい。
昨年、韓国で行われた「FIGHTERS SPIRIT」日本で行われたARCREVO JAPAN予選 二つの予選で負けてしまい、かなり落ち込んだ時期もありまして最後の予選であるアメリカFrosty Fausingsをどうしようかなと思っていたのですが DNFDuelの方が新バージョンとなり、自分の使用キャラが信じられないほど強くなったバージョンと感じた上で勝率も以前とは比べ物にならないぐらい物凄いあがりました（ランクマッチ１００連勝とかしました）。 そのような自信ある状態で挑戦しにいかないのは後悔すると思い、参加を決めた結果優勝出来ました。 優勝した瞬間、眩いほどの拍手や声援、現地で優勝を祝ってくれた韓国勢達、本当に嬉しい一生残る記憶です。
Q4.FINALSで一番注目している選手と、その理由を教えて下さい。
なんぽん 大会における優勝経験が恐らく一番多い選手なので当たりたくないと思っています。
Q5.FINALSで一番注目しているキャラクターと、その理由を教えて下さい。
グラップラー このキャラが勝つ試合は恐らく見てる側としてはとてもエキサイティングで楽しい時間だと思います。 対戦相手はちょっと怒ったり悲しんでるかも知れませんがそこも見所かも知れませんね。
Q6.ご自身のプレイヤーとしての強みや魅力をお聞かせ下さい
数年に一回来る大舞台で何故か勝ちます。
Q7.決勝大会に向けての意気込みとファンへのコメントをお聞かせ下さい
家族、会社、チーム、アジアランクマッチで出会ったプレイヤーの深い協力や支援の結果、ここに至ることが出来ました。 その方々に感謝すると同時に集大成となるこの舞台で結果を出そうと思います。

Q1.Briefly introduce yourself.
I’m kubo, a fighting game player from Nagoya in Aichi. I’m a pro gamer in the fighting action division of Yoshimoto Gaming. I play Grappler in DNF Duel.
Q2.Tell us about your background with fighting games.
I’ve been playing for about 25 years now. I started with a 3D fighting game, Tekken 3.
Q3.Looking back, what are your thoughts on the ARC WORLD TOUR 2022 qualifier tournaments?
I lost two qualifier tournaments last year, FIGHTERS SPIRIT in South Korea and ARCREVO JAPAN in Japan, which left me feeling down for a while. I was actually debating what to do about the final qualifier, Frosty Faustings in the US. After the update for DNF Duel, I felt like my main got majorly buffed this version, and my win rate went way up compared to before (I even managed a 100 win streak in Ranked). I felt like I’d regret it if I didn’t go for it when I was feeling so confident, so I decided to join the tournament, and won. From the applause and cheers when I won to the Korean players there who celebrated my victory, it was truly a happy memory I’ll never forget.
Q4.Which player style=”font-weight:bold” in the finals are you keeping an eye on the most, and why?
Nanpon. I believe he’s the player with the most tournament wins, so I hope I don’t have to play him.
Q5.Which character in the finals are you keeping an eye on the most, and why?
Grappler. I think it’s really exciting and fun for the spectators when this character wins matches. For the opponent, it might be kind of frustrating and sad, but that’s part of what makes it so good to watch.
Q6.What would you consider your specialty and appeal as a player?
I somehow manage to pull off wins at big moments that only come once every few years.
Q7.Please share your motivation for the finals tournament and a word for the fans.
I only made it this far thanks to all of the help and support from my family, company, team, and the players I met in Asia Ranked matches. I want to show them my appreciation and succeed here, where it all comes together.
