Hyper Mode

In this mode, when an opponent sends a massive amount of Shadow Pieces, a well placed counter can change the tide of the game.
The following are conditions to initiate Hyper Mode:

  1. Without doing a Beat Drop, allow some Shadow Pieces to fall in your field. This must be done twice, consecutively.
    At this point, your Hyper Mode will be on "standby".
    However, if the following occurs, you will lose your Hyper Mode chance:
    • -- When less than 42 Shadow Pieces fall in your field from 2 consecutive times.
    • -- When a Shadow Piece falls due to a failed Beat Drop.
    • -- When your field is filled with Pieces (a.k.a. Game Over).
  2. When you are on standby, make a successful Beat Drop.
    If you Beat Drop successfully, then your points will increase by 20 times, and a large amount of Shadow Pieces will be sent to your opponent.
    However, when Hyper Mode is on standby the "beat meter gauge needed to succeed a Beat Drop" will always be 20 (max).
    If you succeed in Hyper Mode, the beat bonus level will go back to 0 (initial setting).
    In the Hyper Mode, you can delete pieces other than Chain Pieces.

You can use Hyper Mode in all modes, minus the Task and Time attack modes.

Special Rules for 2 Player co-op mode.

In a team battle you have 3 options: Co-op with COM (1P + COM1 vs. COM2 + COM3), 2 Players Co-op (1P + 2P vs. COM1 + COM2), 4 Player Team VS (1P + 2P vs. 3P + 4P).

When two players on the same team make a chain at the same time, it becomes a 'Synchronized Bonus'. This will help you generate 1.5 times the Shadow Pieces to send to your opponents.
